If a staff member departs, or needs their laptop returned to IT, Admin will be asked to facilitate the shipping effort. (This only applies in the US!)



Step 1: Find closest FedEx Office location to the laptop owner's home.  

Step 2: Create TWO Fedex Labels, save as PDF

    - The first one: Going from the Fedex Office location to the staff members home, weighing 1 pound, value $30, dimensions laptopbox

    - The second one: Going from the staff members home to IT/Headquarters as requested, weighing 6 pounds, value $1000, dimensions laptop box


Step 3: Locate the FedEx Office's email address on the web (Should be something like USA1234@fedex.com, you may have to call them to get it), and send them an email with the following:


Hello FedEx Office City Name,

 

I need an EMPTY laptop box shipped to an associate that lives near your location and would like to include return shipping label in the box (to go to our IT Team).  We have a FedEx Shipping account that I have generated the labels from, and you can bill the cost of the laptop boxes.  Other FedEx office stores have helped me with this before, and I'm hoping your location can, too! 

 

Please charge the cost of the laptop box to our FedEx Shipping account: 265471463 (Please send receipt for this).

Step 4: The FedEx Office usually sends you a receipt same day, and confirms when it goes out.  If they don't call them back to verify receipt and understanding of your email request.
